Announced for a release on September 28, Mani Ratnam’s multi-starrer, Chekka Chivantha Vaanam is one of the most anticipated films in recent times.
Meanwhile, promotions have kicked off with Arvind Swami’s character revealed yesterday as Varadan in CCV and also as Varada for the Telugu version titled Nawab.
That said, the makers of Chekka Chivantha Vaanam, Madras Talkies and Lyca Productions have now revealed Arun Vijay’s character as Thyagu for the Tamil as well as Telugu versions.

Based on the pattern the characters are being revealed, we can expect the remaining stars to have their names in the film to be revealed which includes names like Simbu, Vijay Sethupathi, Jyothika, Aishwarya Rajesh, Aditi Rao Hydari and model Dayana Erappa making her Tamil acting debut featuring music by A. R. Rahman.
