One of the most acclaimed filmmakers to have come out of Tamil cinema, Selvaraghavan has a fan following of his own owing to the films he had gone on to make over the years which include Kadhal Kondein, Pudhupettai, 7G Rainbow Colony, Aayirathil Oruvan, and Irandaam Ulagam. The director has currently three projects for release - Nenjam Marappathillai with SJ Suryah, Mannavan Vanthanadi with Santhanam and NGK with Surya.


Among them, Mannavan Vanthanadi, a romantic drama written and directed by Selvaraghavan with Santhanam and Aaditi Pohankar in the lead roles has music by Yuvan Shankar Raja. That said, the film bankrolled by Shushant Prasad and M/S film department has received an interim stay order from Radiance Media owned by Varun Manian.


Mannavan Vanthanadi's release was initially delayed as the producer had some financial issues and eventually tried selling the film's rights of to another production house. As a result, it has received a legal notice that states all the rights related to the film are with Radiance Media and in order to sell the rights, Shushant has to clear the debts, says Radiance Media.
