Salman Khan's new release Bharat is an action drama film written and directed by Ali Abbas Zafar. Bharat has Katrina Kaif as the lady lead with some big names like Sunil Grover, Disha Patani and Jackie Shroff in important roles. Popular actress Tabu made a cameo appearance in the film. This film is jointly produced by Atul Agnihotri, Alvira Khan Agnihotri, Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Nikhil Namit and Salman Khan under the banners Reel Life Productions, Salman Khan Films and T-Series. Bharat is based on the 2014 South Korean film Ode to My Father.
Bharat released worldwide on 5 June 2019 following Salman Khan's traditional Eid Release. The film received mixed reviews from critics but worked for some Salman fans in the crowd. Apart from reviews, the movie did a good job at the box-office becoming Salman's biggest opening day release. Julius Packiam has scored the music and Vishal-Shekhar has done the soundtrack for the film and the team has released the full video song titled Chashni. Chashni is sung in the soulful voice of Abhijeet Srivastava with lyrics from Irshad Kamil.
