Vijay Devarakonda was last seen on the silver screens in the 2018 movie, Taxiwaala, which is an official remake of lady superstar Nayanthara's Dora. After that he just had his recent release, Dear Comrade released on the 26th of July, along with Rashmika Mandanna as the female lead. This romantic drama opened to reviews ranging from mixed to positive. A couple of audience also felt that the movie was lengthier and on taking that into account, the makers of the movie have decided to trim the movie by 13 minutes in the second in the second half. The actual runtime of the movie for the Telugu version is 2 hours and 52 minutes. This updated version of the movie will be screened from this Friday, 2nd of August.

This will be the second time that Rashmika Mandanna and  Vijay Devarakonda will be collaborating, after Geetha Govindam. Having been released in 3 languages including Telugu, Tamil and Kannada, the movie is all geared up to be remade in Hindi. And it has been bought by Bollywood biggie, Karan Johar for a whopping 6 crores. The other details of the remake is yet to be revealed. Stay tuned for more updates.
