In recent times, it has been quite common that movies of big stars face some legal controversy or the other. Thalapathy's Bigil too got into such a controversy, when an Assistant Director - KP Selvah filed a suit against Bigil's director Atlee and the movie's makers stating that the story of Bigil was originally his. He had sought a stay order against the shooting and release of this movie, which originally went by the name Thalapathy 63, before being titled Bigil. KP Selvah had also filed a complaint with the Writer's Association and this matter had been in Court for quite some time. However, now it has been resolved.

Bigil Court Case

In an official statement issued by the Bigil team, it has come to light that KP Selvah had withdrawn his suit at the Court but had sought permission to file a new one. However, the Court is said to have denied KP Selvah the right to file a fresh suit and had dismissed his original suit too. This comes as a huge sigh of relief for the entire Bigil team who had been dealing this issue through their lawyers, at the Court. Bigil is slated to hit the screens for this Deepavali and it looks like things are well on track with Thalapathy Vijay completing shooting for his portions and the last schedule being currently canned in Delhi.
