Bodhai Yeri Budhi Maari is directed by the Naalaya Iyakunar director, Chandru KR. The movie features Dheeraj, Radha Ravi, Charlie, Ajay, Pradaini and Dushara. Cinematographer Balasubramaniem will be the man behind the lens for this film and edited by the national award winner, V J Sabu Joseph. The screenplay of Bodhai Yeri Budhi Maari is written by Kathir Natarasan. In a conversation, the director, Chandru KR stated that the "Bodhai" does not only denote the intoxication from alcohol, but also speaks about a different kind of addiction.
The film is a thriller and apparently travels with Dheeraj's character Karthi. Apparently, Chandru had written Bodhai Yeri Budhi Maari's one-liner when he was making short films and have known Dheeraj since the days he's been making short films. Additionaly, Dheeraj has also featured in Chandru's shorts.
