Earlier this week, the shooting of Chiyaan Vikram's next film with director Karthik Subbaraj kickstarted and the news became a trending topic on social media. Tentatively titled Chiyaan 60, the film features Vikram's son and actor Dhruv Vikram playing the other lead. Chiyaan 60 will be the first film that will have the real-life father and son acting together and everyone is eagerly looking forward to witnessing the duo together on the big screen. Dhruv made an impressive debut with Adithya Varma and it is going to be highly exciting to see him perform alongside his father. Chiyaan 60 will be Dhruv's second film as an actor. Ace actress Simran plays one of the female leads and it marks her second outing with both Chiyaan Vikram (after Dhruva Natchathiram) and Karthik Subbaraj (after Petta).

The makers have now made a big announcement, revealing the addition of a new member to the star cast of Chiyaan 60. The highly talented Bobby Simha will be playing an important role in the film. Director Karthik Subbaraj took to his Twitter page to share this update with the fans. Karthik tweeted, "@actorsimha joins the Gang #Chiyaan60 Welcome Bobby and am so Happy that we are back working together after a small gap...".

Similarly, Bobby Simha also expressed his happiness about being a part of this film and shared that he is excited to act alongside Vikram and Dhruv Vikram. Simha's tweet read, "Super happy to be part of #Chiyaan60 Delighted to work with my Nanban @karthiksubbaraj in a film that'll feature the adorable #ChiyaanVikram Tripling my delight is the presence of #kuttyChiyaan #DhruvVikram in it.Thank U @Lalit_SevenScr sir for unifying this amazing GANG". Karthik Subbaraj and Bobby Simha have worked together in several films and Jigarthanda stands out as their best work till date. The successful combination is back again and let us hope that the duo strike big, this time.
