The film was scheduled for September 6 (Vinayaga Chathurti) but the latest is that the release may be postponed further. Having Karthi and Hansika in the lead, the movie also boasts of a huge star cast! Apart from the lead actors, many others like Prasanna, Sneha, Neethu Chandra, Vaibhav Reddy, Premgi Amaren, Ramki, Sam Anderson, Nithin Sathya and Sampath. Biriyani also marks Yuvanshankar Raja's 100th movie as a composer!
