A massive film in the making, ‘Thalapathy’ Vijay’s Bigil, announced for a grand Diwali release, has been carrying forward swiftly in terms of production under director Atlee. With filming nearing its final stages, the shooting for the upcoming action sports drama had taken place at the Red Hills area on the outskirts of Chennai yesterday (04.08.2019) with Vijay seen riding a 2018 Harley Davidson Sportster Iron 883cc motorcycle. Pictures were soon being shared of the motorcyle which had the name of his character (Michael) on the number plate along with the registration number 5; the number on his football jersey shirt. Many fans had turned up at the shooting location to catch a glimpse of the superstar in action and were seen climbing over bridges and, cheered him all the way with videos soon starting to flood social networking forums.

Being produced by AGS Entertainment, shooting on Bigil is expected to be wrapped up on August 10 and has many fans excited as post-production works will then progress in full length in line of its theatrical release in October. Vijay will be playing dual roles in the film as father and son and, eventually also as the coach of the Tamil Nadu women’s football team. There are tremendous expectations for Bigil considering the ‘Singappenney’ song composed by A. R. Rahman has gone on to become a huge hit garnering over 10 million views on YouTube. A multi-starrer, the film also includes Nayanthara as the female lead, Jackie Shroff, Kathir, Indhuja, Varsha Bollamma, Reba Monica John, Gayathri Reddy, Daniel Balaji, Anandraj among others in important supporting roles.
