The first week of Bigg Boss Tamil season 5 is nearing a finish, with 'Ulaganayagan' Kamal Haasan hosting the smash hit reality TV show for the fifth consecutive time. Being telecast on Vijay TV, Bigg Boss season 5 is also streaming on DisneyPlus Hotstar and is once again witnessing a strong viewership, with fans taking to social media to discuss the various incidents that have transpired on the show so far, which includes a total of eighteen contestants rather than the usual sixteen in the previous editions. The contestants for Bigg Boss Tamil 5 are Abhinay Vaddi, Abishek Raaja, Akshara Reddy, Chinnaponnu, Ciby Chandran, Imman Annachi, Isaivani, Iykki Berry, Madhumitha, Nadia Chang, Namitha Marimuthu, Niroop Nandakumar, Pavani Reddy, Priyanka Deshpande, Raju Jeyamohan, Sruthi Jeyadevan, Thamarai Selvi and Varun. 

As Bigg Boss Tamil season 5 is nearing the end of its first week, the Sunday promo featured popular Tamil YouTuber and actor Abishek Raja and VJ-host Priyanka Deshpande's relationship and rapport. We see in the first promo for the day Kamal Haasan querying Abishek his experiences so far inside the Bigg Boss 5 house, who then goes on to state that he has found a sister in Priyanka, leaving her speechless. The new promo is an emotional one and Abishek breaks out in tears while narrating the experience of having to let go off his own sister after she got married, but found a beloved one in Priyanka upon entering the Bigg Boss Tamil 5 house. Priyanka too affirms that she has found a cousin in the form of a brother with Abishek, with the duo hugging it out.
