Popular television actress Jasmin Bhasin has carved a niche for herself in the entertainment industry for nearly a decade after she made her debut in Tamil in Silambarasan TR's smash hit, Vaanam, in 2011. Jasmin then made a transition to television in Hindi and has since become a huge name, while also having participated as one among the contestants in Bigg Boss 14, which came to a grand conclusion this February. Having said that, the 26-year-old in an interview with Bollywood Bubble has revealed that she had suicidal thoughts during the early stages of her career when she was struggling to make a name for herself in entertainment in Mumbai.

Jasmin Bhasin spoke about how she had been rejected on a number of occasions at auditions, causing her to losing confidence in herself. She said, "I went through that zone long ago in my life, when I had come to Mumbai and I was struggling. Woh ladai meri khud ke saath thi because kahin na kahin (that struggle was within myself because somewhere), I was losing confidence in myself. I thought I am flawed, my skin has flaws, I don't look good and that's why I face rejections every day." Jasmin added, "For me, the learning point is, you need to end that battle with yourself first. You need to accept yourself the way you are. You need to accept your flaws because your flaws make you unique and different from others, otherwise, we will all look like same dolls in a toy shop." She also told, "As long as you feel confident about yourself and have this determination that 'This is what I want to do, I will make sure I do it, at least I will give my 100% so that I do not feel guilty that I did not make that attempt,' nothing and nobody can stop you."

Jasmin Bhasin has made appearances on popular TV shows like Tashan-e-Ishq, Dil Se Dil Tak, Dil Toh Happy Hai Ji and Naagin 4. Apart from her success in television, including Bigg Boss and starring in STR's Vaanam, Jasmin has also worked in a few south films like Beware Of Dogs, Veta, Ladies And Gentlemen, including Siddharth's Jil Jung Juk in Tamil.
