Ben Kingsley visits Taj Mahal

Ben Kingsley, who won the Oscar for his amazing performance as Mahatma Gandhi in Richard Attenborough's Gandhi, visited Taj Mahal on Wednesday along with his wife Daniela Lavender. He spent more than two hours at the Taj and mingled with visitors, many of whom took pictures with the 67-year-old.

Notably, the veteran actor is planning to make a film on Taj Mahal in which he will play Mughal emperor Shah Jahan. Daniela will enact the role of Kandhari Begum, Shah Jahan’s first wife of Persian origin, while Aishwarya Rai may feature as Mumtaz Mahal. The final copy of the script is ready and Kingsley will be now scouting for funds for his $25-27 million project, which is likely to go on floors next year.
