Mom was released in the year 2017, featuring the late actress Sridevi, Adnan Siddiqui, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Akshaye Khanna, Sajal Ali, Abhimanyu Singh among the many others. This crime thriller flick was released in China only this year, on May 10.
And the reports are that Mom movie has collected over Rs. 100 crores in China and beat the collections of films like Bahubai- 2, Toilet: Ek Prem Katha, Sultan, Thugs of Hindostan that were released there.
The late actress even received a national award, post hear demise for the category of best actress. Mom was directed by Ravi Udyawar, based on a screenplay written by Girish Kohli. Music for the film has been composed by A. R. Rahman, which even got him the National award for best background score. This movie marked Sridevi's 300th and last film, before her untimely demise at the age of 54. Mom was both critically and commercially successful movie at India.
