Noted author Manu S Pillai’s book 'The Ivory Throne: Chronicles of the House of Travancore' choronicles the life of Sethu Lakshmi Bayi, the last queen of erstwhile Travancore royal family. The novel marks the culmination of the popular author's five-year-long research into the hidden chapters history. As per latest updates, Arka Mediaworks, makers of Baahubali have bought the audio-visual rights for the book for its adaptation, said producer Shobu Yarlagadda.

"Excited to have optioned @UnamPillai's work #theIvoryThrone! We @arkamediaworks are so looking forward to adapting this to screen! Its retelling of a very fascinating period in Indian history! Here's hoping we can do justice to Manu's 5 years of hard work!," he shared adding that most likely it will be a web series to give justice to the work.
