A film that was initially planned for a Pongal release earlier this year, Arvind Swami’s Bhaskar Oru Rascal, is now all set to hit screens as the TFPC strike had come to an end earlier this week.

Directed by Siddique, Bhaskar Oru Rascal will hit screens on April 27 and features Amala Paul as the female lead along with Theri fame Baby Nainika and Master Raghavan in supporting roles under the Harshini Movies banner.

Meanwhile, the Vikram Prabhu starrer, Pakka, too has been announced to come out on April 27 and will give Bhaskar oru Rascal a fight at the box office.

Pakka, directed by S. S. Surya with music by C. Sathya will feature actress Nikki Galrani as one of the female leads.

The film will also include actress Bindu Madhavi in a vital role in Pakka after production on the film wrapped up last year.

Meanwhile, a new entrant has now entered the April 27 race as Sai Pallavi's Tamil debut, Karu, has just been announced to hit screens finally under a new title, Diya.

The film also includes Telugu actor Naga Shourya as the male lead alongside RJ Balaji in a vital supporting role under A. L. Vijay's direction with music by Sam C. S.

These films will no doubt be facing some major heavyweight competition from the upcoming highly-anticipated superhero film, Avengers: Infinity War, also slated to release worldwide on April 27.
