Released yesterday (April 26) across the world, the comicbook superhero action film, Avengers: Endgame, has taken a stellar start in terms of box office collections and is the sequel to last year’s blockbuster, Avengers: Infinity War, which went on to make over $2 billion in worldwide collections.
Produced by Marvel Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures, Avengers: Endgame is the 22nd film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) and has been jointly directed by Anthony Russo and Joe Russo with Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Don Cheadle, Paul Rudd, Brie Larson, Karen Gillan, Danai Gurira, Bradley Cooper and Josh Brolin reprising their roles from last year’s Avengers: Infinity War.
Avengers: Endgame also saw the characters of Benedict Cumberbatch, Tom Holland, Chadwick Boseman, Paul Bettany, Elizabeth Olsen, Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan, Tom Hiddleston, Pom Klementieff, Dave Bautista, Zoe Saldana, Chris Pratt, Letitia Wright and Evangeline Lilly getting resurrected after getting killed off in Avengers: Infinity War.
Meanwhile, with the film getting released across India yesterday, the first day Indian box office collections for Avengers: Endgame is now out and has been revealed to be INR 63.21cr GBOC (INR 53.10cr NBOC) across all languages.
This is massive and will no doubt rise further as glorious reviews for the film have been pouring in from all corners of the world. Described to be a fitting finale, Avengers: Endgame has satisfied Marvel fans as well as the casual viewer who have gotten everything they have wanted in an action entertainer.
