One of the most exciting films among the several projects actor Dhanush is currently attached to, Asuran, under National Award-winning director Vetrimaaran has already wrapped up a major chunk of its production. Being produced by Kalaipuli S. Thanu’s V Creations banner with music by G. V. Prakash Kumar, the upcoming film is an adaptation of the critically acclaimed Tamil novel, Vekkai, written by Poomani. A while back, we had revealed through our sources that the makers were planning to bring the film out in theatres ahead of the Ayudha Pooja holidays. That said, Dhanush has now officially confirmed on his social networking pages that Asuran will indeed be hitting screens on October 4.
Asuran is carrying a lot of expectations as Dhanush is set to be seen in dual roles once again after his Kodi released in 2017. Furthermore, the film also includes plenty of talented names among whom are National Award-winning actress Manju Warrier making her debut in Tamil cinema, veteran filmmaker Balaji Sakthivel in the role of a policeman, actor turned politician Karunas’ son, Ken Karunas, and actors Pasupathy and Pavan in important roles. Asuran is the fourth time Dhanush and Vetrimaaran are joining hands after their previous ventures - Pollathavan, Aadukalam and last year’s smash hit, Vada Chennai. As expected with any of their previous collaborations, this next action drama film from them has raised quite a lot of excitement among fans with many expecting it to be yet another cracker of an entertainer.
