Ashok Selvan's Manmatha Leelai is set for its theatrical release on April 1 and the film has been censored with a clean 'A' certificate by the CBFC. Manmatha Leelai is an adult romantic comedy that is directed by the highly successful Venkat Prabhu who is in great form post the blockbuster hit Maanaadu. We can expect the film to strike a chord with the youth audience and it looks like a fun treat awaits the fans. Produced by T Muruganantham under the banner of Rockfort Entertainment, the film has music composed by Premgi Amaren and cinematography handled by Thamizh A Azhagan.

The film features Comali fame Samyuktha Hegde, Smruthi Venkat, and Riya Suman as the female leads. As we inch closer to the film's release, the makers have been releasing short promo videos on a daily basis to keep the audience hooked and some of the promos have garnered good attention among the youth. The promos promise high dose of fun and entertainment and they have opened to a fairly positive response. The short promos effectively cater to the youngsters and it looks like Venkat Prabhu understands their pulse. Notably, he is also one of the sensible filmmakers in our industry and it is going to be interesting to see what he has in store with Manmatha Leelai.

The shooting of Manmatha Leelai took place amidst the shoot break of Maanaadu during the Covid times. If the film manages to earn positive reviews, then it will have a comfortable run at the box office until Thalapathy Vijay's Beast which is slated to hit the screens on April 13 amidst huge expectations. The story and screenplay of Manmatha Leelai has been penned by Manivannan Balasubramaniam, with VP contributing from his side. Following Manmatha Leelai, Venkat Prabhu will be joining hands with Naga Chaitanya for a new film.
