Arun Vijay's Maanja Velu to compete with Sura and Singam
Actor Arun Vijay, who�made all the right moves with his last movie Malai Malai is back in action. Directed by A. Venkatesh, this neatly packaged commercial movie worked wonders with the audience. Arun is once more in the race, but it’s Maanja Velu that will ensure his spot on the track.
Maanja Velu is also an action movie. 'Maanja' is the mixture of glass powder and other ingredients coated on the string of a kite. It is used to cut the strings of rival kites, but if handled wrongly, it can cut you. This forms the basic plot. Karthik, Prabhu, Ganja Karuppu, Santhanam and others form the supporting cast. Mani Sharma has scored the music for Maanja Velu, which is expected to release soon.
The latest rumour is that this action flick will compete against Suriya's Singam directed by Hari and Vijay's Sura directed by S.P. Rajkumar at the box office.
