Leading Tamil actor Arun Vijay, who was recently seen in the kids entertainer, Oh My Dog, alongside his son Arnav Vijay, will next be making an action-packed entry on the big screen with Yaanai. Directed by blockbuster filmmaker Hari, the upcoming mass entertainer is set to open in cinemas worldwide on June 17 after initially being planned for a May 6 theatrical release. Produced under the Drumsticks Productions banner and being presented by KKR Cinema, promotions have now kicked into top gear with the makers releasing the much-awaited Yaanai trailer that starts off from being an emotional ride before going full throttle in non-stop action with Arun Vijay and KGF: Chapter 1 vilain Ramachandra Raju locking horns.

Yaanai, which has been shot extensively in locations around Dhanushkodi in Tamil Nadu, also stars youth sensation Priya Bhavani Shankar opposite Arun Vijay and the duo are sharing screen space once again after Mafia in 2020. Expectations for the film are quite high as it marks the big comeback of director Hari after his Saamy 2 in 2018 and he will be looking to come out all guns blazing once again. Yaanai is also coming out in Telugu under the title Enugu and marks the first time Arun Vijay and Hari have teamed up. The film’s trailer shows that the filmmaker is roaring to return with a powerful comeback and the visuals show that he is set to deliver yet another solid commercial potboiler.

Apart from Arun Vijay and Priya Bhavani Shankar, Yaanai's supporting cast boasts of incredible talent featuring the likes of veteran actress Radikaa Sarathkumar, Samuthirakani, Thalaivasal Vijay, Imman Annachi, Ammu Abhirami, Yogi Babu, Pugazh, Rajesh, Jayapalan, Bose Venkat, Rama, Aishwarya among others. Likewise, the technical team includes chart-buster composer G. V. Prakash Kumar, cinematographer Gopinath, and editor Anthony.
