Arun Vijay got to showcase his mettle as a performer yet again in Thadam released earlier this year, which went on to become a sleeper hit at the box office.

Directed by Magizh Thirumeni, Thadam had Arun Vijay play dual roles for the first time in his career alongside Smruthi Venkat, Tanya Hope, and Vidya Pradeep as the female leads with the film going on to draw praise for its intense plot.
With Thadam turning out to be a success, there were talks about a remake with the Telugu rights going on to be acquired by Sravanthi Ravi Kishore sometime back.
Since then, there has been no word on who has been cast to play Arun Vijay’s roles as well as direct the Thadam Telugu remake. That said, it is now being reported that popular actor Ram Pothineni is said to be the prime contender for the lead roles as Sravanthi Ravi Kishore is his uncle while Kishore Tirumala is being eyed to helm the project with an official announcement expected to be made in the days ahead.
It must be noted that Ram Pothineni and Kishore Tirumala coming together for the Thadam Telugu remake will mark the third occasion the two will be joining hands after their previous ventures, Nenu Sailaja and Vunnadhi Okate Zindagi.
