Actor Arun Vijay has been one of the most consistent and hard-working actors in Tamil cinema, with his power-packed performances, especially in ‘Thala’ Ajith’s smash hit Yennai Arindhaal remaining etched in fans' memories. Having starred in notable films like Kuttram 23, Chekka Chivantha Vaanam, Thadam, Saaho and last year's Mafia: Chapter 1, Arun Vijay's upcoming film lineup looks mighty promising as he will be seen next in Moodar Koodam director Naveen’s Agni Siragugal alongside Vijay Antony, Boxer opposite Ritika Singh, Sinam with Wagah fame director GNR Kumaravelan, a film with director Hari for Drumsticks Production and another project with director Arivazhagan.

In that light, Arun Vijay took to his Twitter page on Wednesday to inform fans that there is a fake casting call being promoted on social media for his next venture with Eeram fame Arivazhagan, which will be his second time collaborating with the filmmaker after his Kuttram 23 in 2017. Sharing screenshots of the fake casting call, Arun Vijay warned fans of the miscreants' efforts to mislead people and wrote, "FAKE ALERT! AVOID!! There has been a FAKE Casting Call doing rounds in social media using my name, targeting women. Its a trap! An official complaint has been lodged with the Cyber Crime Dept to take action against these frauds. Pls check for legitimacy in the future. Be safe." Below is the tweet:

Arun Vijay will begin shooting for his film with director Hari from February, which will be an emotional family drama that will be packed with all the commercial elements. Apparently, Arun Vijay is focused on finishing his film with Hari first as he considers the project to be an important one and wants to lay his complete focus on it. Back in December, we had revealed that the film's shoot has been planned to take place at locations across Karaikudi, Ramnad, Tuticorin and Chennai. An official announcement on the rest of the cast is expected to be made soon and will include several notable and leading actors.
