Arun Vijay gets cut on forearm!

Ever since his resurgence as a top level actor with Yennai Arindhaal, Arun Vijay has been going strong in choosing roles with substance and has aced them. He is known for his daredevil stunts and stunning physique and even earlier in his career, he has gone through many injuries while shooting. It has now come to light that Arun Vijay has gotten injured while shooting an action sequence for his upcoming film with director GNR Kumaravelan of Haridas fame. This movie, which is going by the working title AV 30, is currently fast progressing.

Usually, sugar glass is used in place of real glass, to perform stunts which require glass to be broken. This sugar glass is kept refrigerated and is taken out about 45 minutes before the stunts are performed. However, it looks like while shooting for this specific action sequence, the sugar glass was removed just about 15 minutes before the stunt was performed. Talking about this mishap, Arun Vijay says, "Yes, it was something unexpected and of course, it’s a part and parcel of my career as an actor."

Explaining about how the injury happened, Arun Vijay says, "We were actually shooting an action block choreographed by Stunt Silva master that involved a bottle breaking act. Usually, these are done with sugar glass as they are hard, but don’t hurt the persons. Stored in refrigerators, they are supposed to be taken at least 30 minutes before the usage. Nonetheless, it was take only few minutes before the shooting and it cut my forearm. I remained completely unaware about it until it started bleeding. Stunt Silva rushed immediately and gave the first aid." Arun Vijay is playing the role of a Police officer in this movie, which has music by Shabir and cinematography by Gopi and is being bankrolled by Movie Slides Pvt. Ltd.
