Arulnidhi's Vamsam
CM Karunanidhi’s grandson Arulnidhi is all excited about his debut flick Vamsam (directed by Pandiaraj), which is releasing today.
A grand audio launch was held on July 2, 2010 and Chief Minister Karunanidhi, Suriya and Vijay took part in the event. Music composed by Taj Noor has been released under Think Music label. Sunaina plays the female lead. The Censor Board has awarded a 'U' certificate for the film.
Arulnidhi is the first member of the family who is turning hero, nearly four decades after Karunanidhi’s eldest son Mu. Ka. Muthu turned lead actor in the early 1970s. “My cousins Udhayanidhi Stalin and Dhayanidhi Alagiri, and uncle Kalanithi Maran, are already popular producers in Kollywood and my father M.K. Thamizharasu has produced films like Gopura Vaasalile. However, my passion is to be an actor. As a kid, I grew up on Rajni sir and Kamal sir’s films and always wanted to be in front of the camera,” Arulnidhi said to a leading English daily.
