Apsara Reddy is the National General Secretary of Mahila Congress, Indian National Congress. Apart from a politician, she's also been a journalist and have worked with BBC World Service, The Hindi, Deccan Chronicle and The New Indian Express. The latest news that's going rounds on the internet is that, she is one of the participants of the reality TV show, Bigg boss.

Apsara Reddy herself, cleared the air and wrote on her Twitter handle, "The rumours that I’m participating in Bigg Boss Tamil are all false. I had been offered Season 1 which I declined. Not going to be doing Season 3. And not interested in participating in reality TV. Some credible news outlets are reporting this. Please avoid reporting false news." A few years ago, she had also hosted a show on Thanthi TV. The former journalist, activist Apsara Reddy had been in BJP in early 2016, and later joined AIADMK around the middle of the same year owing to her admiration for the late CM, J Jayalalithaa. Post her demise, Apsara has been appointed as the first transgender National General Secretary of Mahila Congress by Congress President Rahul Gandhi.
