Jayam Ravi's upcoming lighthearted entertainer Appatakkar has been re-titled. The film featuring Jayam Ravi, Trisha and Anjali in the lead has been re-titled as Sakalakala Vallavan Appatakkar, inspired by the yesteryear hit of Kamal Haasan. However, the reason behind this title change has not been revealed.

Written and directed by Suraj of Alex Pandian fame, the film's teaser has already grabbed the attention of audience. Actors Soori, Prabhu, Vivek, Ashvin Raja, Naan Kadavul Rajender and many others form the supporting cast. The film is produced by Lakshmi Movie Makers. The music is composed by S. Thaman and will be released under the Sony Music label. The film is expected to hit screens on July 31st.
