A&P Groups issue strong statement on Aadai Hindi remake!
One of the most controversial as well as super successful movies of this year is Aadai, which had Amala Paul in the lead. This thriller movie, directed by Rathna Kumar, was produced by Viji Subramaniam for SK Studios and created quite a stir, right from the time the movie's first look was revealed. As is commonly known, Aadai stirred up a lot of controversy for having Amala Paul in a number of nude sequences. However, all these sequences were very aesthetically shot and did not have any vulgarity in them. Vijay Karthik Kannan's cinematography and Amala Paul's bold acting were very highly appreciated. Following the success of Aadai, there have been reports of the movie being remade, in a number of languages.
Some recent rumours suggested that Kangna Ranaut would be reprising Amala Paul's role in the Hindi remake of Aadai. Responding to all these speculations, actor-turned-producer Arun Pandian's distribution and production company - A&P Groups have issued a strong statement. The statement clarifies that they hold the remake rights of Aadai for all the languages and that they have already collaborated with a leading production house in Mumbai for the Hindi remake. The statement also reads that Kangna Ranaut has not been approached for the lead role in the Hindi remake but that a different star had already been roped in.
The statement slammed all reports of Kangna Ranaut being a part of this project as false rumours and also added that the Hindi remake would go on floors soon. A&P Groups' statement reads that as the script has a lot of scope to reach even the international audiences, it would be made on a grand scale with high production values. It also stated that the cast and crew of the Hindi remake would be announced once they are all finalised. However, a couple of days back, Rathna Kumar had revealed that he would be helming the Hindi remake, himself. Stay tuned for further updates...
