Anushka is no stranger to being a part of heroine centric films, and has shown her mettle by playing the titular role in movies like Arundhati and Panchakshari. Now, she will bring to life on screen the role of one of the scions of female power in India - Rani Rudhramadevi - the most famous queen of the Kakatiya dynasty. Rani Rudhramadevi has gone down in history as one of the bravest rulers in our country. Anushka will play the Kakatiya Queen in an upcoming movie touted to be India’s first historic stereoscopic 3D film. Produced and directed by Gunasekhar this movie has an ensemble cast. Rana Daggubati will be playing Chalukya Veerabhadra - Rudhramadevi’s husband and Prakashraj will play Shiva Devaiah - a royal adviser to the queen. Most importantly, Prince Mahesh Babu is said to be making a cameo appearance as a warrior prince in this movie. A surprise inclusion to the cast is singer Baba Sehgal, who will be appearing as Naga Devudu. Maestro Ilaiyaraaja will be scoring the music for this grand project.
