As the election dates approached, the Bollywood celebrities were appealing on social media to exercise their right to vote, prior to the elections. Actor Anil Kapoor whilst doing the same, he himself did not vote in the Lok Sabha Elections, 2019.
However, when recently addressed by the media, he wasn't present at that time owing to his health issues. The actor added that he had scheduled appointment with his doctor for four days at Munich, a year back. He had also emphasized on enabling voting facility for Indian citizens, overseas.
Reasoning his calcification in his shoulder, he, along with his wife Sunita Kapoor, flew to Munich and on the polling day. They seem to have approached the embassy to possibly find a way to vote. Unfortunately, they were left disappointed. Addressing on the same issue, he stated that he had requested the authorities on setting up a process, that enables the abroad staying Indian citizens to cast their vote.
