2014's Pisaasu was a Tamil gothic horror film written and directed by Mysskin and produced by Bala under B Studios. The film was not only well received by the masses but also opened to highly positive reviews which led to the Telugu dubbed version titled Pisachi which was released on 27 February 2015. The film's garnered a lot of attention as it was a horror film unlike anybody had ever seen. Following its success, it was announced that a sequel to the movie was in work and would be directed by Mysskin yet again.

The entire shooting of the film has been completed and the production work is going on in full swing. The upcoming sequel film stars Andrea Jeremiah, Poorna, and Santhosh Prathap among others. It has also been announced that Makkal Selvan Vijay Sethupathi will be making a special cameo appearance in it. Andrea has also dubbed for her character in the Telugu version of the film as well. This is the first time she has dubbed in Telugu.

This key piece of information was announced by media consultant Team AIM. They took to their official Twitter handle and shared a clip featuring the actress being lively and excited about the first-ever Telugu dubbing session of her life. Along with this, they also attached a caption which read, "Actress @andrea_jeremiah has completed the #Pisasu2 Telugu dubbing, 1st time she has dubbed for telugu Coming soon into Theaters 🎭📽 #Pisachi2 ". Both the film's teaser as well as the trailer have been released and they both have been equally well received by the public. Pisasu 2's cinematography has been handled by Siva Shanthakumar with Karthik Raja being roped in to compose its music. The film's release date has not yet been confirmed as of now.
