Anbulla Ghilli is directed by Srinath Ramalingam who earlier directed the horror flick Unakenna Venum Sollu staring Deepak Paramesh and Jaqlene Prakash. The film is produced by Sreenidhi Sagar and E Mala. Notably, E Mala is the wife of DoP Balasubramaniam who will be handling the camera for Anbulla Ghilli. The movie will have music by Arrol Corelli.
The title of the movie is derived from two popular movies Anbulla Rajinikanth and Ghilli. Anbulla Rajinikanth is a 1984 film that featured Rajinikanth as the lead and Ghilli is a 2004 Vijay starrer film. The combined words from these two films has come out as Anbulla Ghilli. The team has indeed managed to put up an intriguing title bringing the two leading names Rajinikanth and Vijay into the act.
About the story of Anbulla Ghilli, we heat that Ghilli will be the name of the dog whose owner is a diehard fan of Thalapathy Vijay and the dog also becomes a fan of the actor. Director Srinath Ramalingmam’s own dog will be playing a pivotal role and will be the narrator of the story. The movie will also have eight other dogs carrying names after famous characters from Tamil films such as Kokki Kumaru, Thotti Jaya, etc. We also hear that there will be a message in the film as well as a romantic track.
The shoot of Anbulla Ghilli went on floor Today (April 4th) in Chennai and the shoot will happen for 3 to 4 days after which the team will be shifting to Kodaikanal for rest of the portion.
