For the first time, Amma Kanakku and it's original Hindi version Nil Battey Sanatta will have a silmultaneous release on April 22. The Tamil version is produced by Dhanush and has Amala Paul, Revathy in lead roles. The film narrates the story of a single mother and her relationship with her daughter.
The Hindi version is directed by Ashwini Iyer Tiwari with Swara Bhaskar in the lead along with Ratna Pathak, Pankaj Tripathi and Ria. Earlier, Sonam Kapoor and Dhanush have unveiled the first look of the Hindi and Tamil versions respectively.
