It was the Bachchan bahu Aishwarya Rai Bachchan who had been gracing the Cannes red carpet all these years. This year it is the turn of the pa-in-law to do the honors. Amitabh Bachchan will be walking the Cannes red carpet on the opening night of the 66th Festival de Cannes on the 15th May, 2013, that opens with The Great Gatsby, a film he has acted in. He will be joined by the Hollywood glitterati and his co-actors Leonardo DiCaprio, Tobey Maguire, Carey Mulligan, Joel Edgerton, and the film's Australian director and his friend Baz Luhrmann. The film will play out of competition and will have its red carpet premiere at the Grand Theater Lumiere of the Palais des Festivals. Apart from these stars, the American pp star rapper Jay-Z, will also be joining the opening ceremony.
