Actress Ameesha Patel is set to be back onscreen after a big gap, with Race 2.

Playing silly and stupid character, Ameesha who play's Anil Kapoor's assistant in the film has a short role yet a good one with substance. Having earlier worked with Ramesh Taurani and Abbas-Mustan, the makers think the thorough professional is the right choice for the role.

Ameesha on the other hand is very happy to be a part of the action-thriller with a huge star cast like Anil Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan, amongst the lot.

Hopefully after Gadar, this film should be a break through for the actress who didn't really have a fair sail in her career, in the last few years.
