Ramayana has been a familiar story throughout India and now, it is going to be adapted for the big screen in three languages including Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. Producers Madhu Mantena, Allu Aravind and Namit Malhotra are coming together for this project which is a 3 part series. Dangal and Mom directors, Nitesh Tiwari and Ravi Udyawar will be helming the movie and the screenplay will be written by Sreedhar Raghavan. This live-action will be shot in 3D and will feature various actors from industries like Bollywood, Punjabi movie industry, Kollywood and Tollywood

The directors in a recent interview, stated that the team is excited to pass on the story to the next generation, that the previous generations are familiar with.  He added that although Ramayana is a vastly established epic story, the storytelling is what will make the trilogy a memorable one and that they are they have implied everything they've learnt to engage the audience and yet stay original. They also concluded that it will be made in a way that even a toddler will enjoy it.

Apparently, this trilogy will be made on an estimated budget of Rs 500 crores, but the cast, release date and the other details are yet to be revealed. As far as the first part is concerned, it is aimed to be released in 2021.
