Bollywood diva Alia Bhatt, who recently declined a role in Dhanush-K.V. Anand project, will play the role of a Tam-Brahm in the on screen adaptation of Chetan Bhagat's 2 States. We hear that the actress is busy learning the language and also she finds it interesting. "I have a lot of fun when I'm speaking in Tamil because it's a new language for me, and it's very exciting that way. I basically mug up my lines, but I know what I am saying. I have a little understanding of the language," she was quoted saying to a leading daily.

Alia plays a modern-day south Indian who falls for a Punjabi boy. She also said that she would love to do a Tamil film, if the right opportunity comes by.
