Ajith's Valimai: Prasanna officially confirms he is not playing the villain!

'Thala' Ajith hit the bullseye on both occasions last year as both his films, Viswasam and Nerkonda Paarvai, went on to become box office blockbusters with all eyes now set on the superstar's upcoming next, Valimai, which was initially tentatively titled, Thala 60. Valimai has Ajith joining hands for the second consecutive time with director H. Vinoth and producer Boney Kapoor's Bayview Projects LLP banner after their intense courtroom drama film, Nerkonda Paarvai. Announced to be an out-and-out action film that will also cater to family audiences, Valimai's first schedule had taken place at the Ramoji Film Studios in Hyderabad with reports popping up over the past few days that actor Prasanna of Anjathey fame is being considered to play the antagonist to Ajith.

Earlier, we had reported that Prasanna was indeed approached to play the role of the villain in the film, but will not be part of Ajith's 60th film. Now, Prasanna, who reaped praises for his performances in films like Naanayam, Power Paandi, Thupparivaalan and Thiruttu Payale 2, has now taken to his Twitter page to issue a statement saying he will not be acting in Ajith's Valimai despite talks being initiated while also expressing his gratitude towards 'Thala' fans everywhere. The mystery surrounding the villain in Valimai continues and it now remains to be seen who will be cast to play the coveted role as the film has been announced to come out as a Diwali release. The film also includes Bollywood actress Huma Qureshi, known as one of the heroines in Rajinikanth's Kaala, as the female lead with Yuvan Shankar Raja scoring the music and Ajith returning to don the khakhi once again after his 2015 hit, Yennai Arindhaal.
