An acclaimed choreographer in south India, Raju Sundaram made his debut as a director in 2008 with the film, Aegan, which had ‘Thala’ Ajith and Nayanthara playing the lead roles with music by Yuvan Shankar Raja turning out to be a smash success. Now, there are reports doing the rounds stating he will be returning to the directorial chair and this time with a unique script for a project starring actor Sharwanand in the lead role, which will be produced by AK Entertainments. Although not many details are known about the said project, an official statement is expected to be made sometime soon.

Aegan was an official remake of Shah Rukh Khan, Sushmitha Sen and Suniel Shetty starrer, Main Hoon Naa, but failed to emulate a similar kind of success as the Hindi original did despite the star power of Ajith and Nayanthara. The upcoming project with Sharwanand will incidentally mark Raju Sundaram’s return to directorial duties after a gap of 11 years.
