Marking his Bollywood debut, noted Telugu actor Ajay will play the villain in Shahrukh Khan's upcoming Chennai Express to be directed by Rohit Shetty with Deepika Padukone as the heroine.
The filmmaker first approached Tamil actor Arya to play the villain role, but he could not sign the film. Later, director Rohit happened to see Ajay's Vikramarkudu and impressed by his performance, he roped in Ajay.
Chennai Express revolves around a guy, who travels from Mumbai to Rameshwaram and what happens during the journey forms the crux of the story.
