Popular actress and singer Shruti Haasan, who was last seen in Tamil cinema in Suriya's Si3, had been shooting for her father Kamal Haasan's directorial, Sabaash Naidu, the spinoff to the 2008 blockbuster, Dasavatharam. Last year, she made her debut in the world of television by hosting a show that talks about friendship.

Meanwhile, sources close to us have now revealed that Shruti Haasan has sung a song for the upcoming political satire LKG, which marks debut of popular comedian and host RJ Balaji as a hero in Tamil cinema alongside Priya Anand, who plays the female lead. It must be noted the last time she sang a song in a Tamil film was for the STR and Nayanthara starrer, Idhu Namma Aalu, in 2016.

Although not announced as yet, it is believed details about this song could be revealed in Shruti Haasan's TV show, which will see RJ Balaji invited as one of the chief guests along with her sister Akshara Haasan and a few others.

Directed by K. R. Prabhu, the film reportedly being planned for a release on February 22 has been produced by Dr. Ishari K. Ganesh's Vels Film International banner with politician Nanjil Sampath and JK Rithesh appearing in pivotal roles and music by Leon James.
