Actress Ashwini (43), one of the prominent names during 80's and acted in more than 110 films, passed away on Sunday at Sri Ramachandra Hospital in Chennai. She was suffering from a lung ailment. The last rites were conducted her home town Nellore. She is survived by a son.
Ashwini debuted in films as a child artiste in Bhakta Dhruva Markandeya. Later, she became the much sought after actress, sharing screen space with almost all Telugu stars: Balakrishna (Bhale Thamudu), Venkatesh (Kaliyuga Pandavulu), Rajasekar (Station Master), Rajendra Prasad and Mohan Babu.
She acted in 40 Telugu films, besides Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam films. We express our heart-felt condolences to her family.
