Action sought against Bhuvaneshwari

Taking exception to the alleged scathing remarks by TV and movie actress Bhuaneshwari against some actresses, Nadigar Sangam is to hold a protest meeting on October 7. A decision to that effect was taken at the emergency meeting of Nadigar Sangam chaired by its president Sarathkumar.

A strong contingent of film personalities met Police Commissioner Rajendran and requested him to take appropriate action against Bhuvaneshwari. Denying the media report of a leading vernacular, Rajendran has said that he has no evidence against the persons Bhuvaneshwari had reportedly divulged as having indulged in immoral acts.

Nadigar Sangam Secretary Radha Ravi said that he has apprised Chief Minister Kalaignar Karunanidhi of the happenings and has requested the intervention of CM to put things in order.

Bhuvaneshwari is confined to jail after the police laid a trap and arrested her when she indulged in prostitution along with two other girls from Mumbai. Seven years ago, Bhuvaneshwari had been arrested for a similar offence.
