Aayirathil Oruvan rocks Tollywood!
Well, all�the naysayers who booed Selvaraghavan's epic adventure Aayirathil Oruvan must eat humble pie now that the movie has become quite the rage in our neighboring state. Dubbed in Telugu with the title Yuganiki Okkadu, the movie has made quite a splash in Tollywood. Selva is not a stranger there. His movies 7G Rainbow Colony and Aadavari Matalaku Ardhalu Verule were rollicking successes with audiences in Andhra Pradesh, and now Aayirathil Oruvan follows suit. The movie was a mammoth effort that did not make much of an impact in Tamil Nadu, receiving more criticism than appreciation. Selva, for his part, remains untouched by the negative remarks and now that the movie is doing famously across borders, he's not likely to even remember the first reaction to his movie in his home state! The movie speaks volumes of the film-maker's genius imagination and visualization. As he said, while we complain that movie makers are not making an effort to give something new,�if we also do not support experimental movies such as Aayirathil Oruvan, then we better be ready to see movie-after-movie with the same masala action rehashed and redone.
Also, we are told that since Aayirathil Oruvan is such a hit, its hero Karthi is a hit too. Hence it is quite likely that his 2007 super hit Tamil movie Paruthiveeran will also be dubbed and released in Telugu!
