Few days back we have reported that two Tamil films, Murugadoss' 7 Aum Arivu and Balaji Sakthivel's Vazhakku En 18/9, are in the Oscar race as India's official entry. The South Indian Film Chamber of Commerce (SIFCC) has appointed a special jury to nominate their entry for the Best Foreign Film at the Academy Awards. Now the latest is that Murugadoss' 7 Aum Arivu is out of the race but Vazhakku En looks to be a strong contender.
Other shortlisted films include The Dirty Picture, Kahaani, Gangs Of Wasseypur, Ferrari Ki Sawari and Rajamouli's Eega.
