கடந்த 2003-ம் ஆண்டு ஷங்கர் இயக்கத்தில் வெளியான பாய்ஸ் திரைப்படம் மூலம் நடிகராக அறிமுகமானார். 
நகுல். நடிகை தேவயானியின் தம்பியான இவர் காதலில் விழுந்தேன், மாசிலாமணி, வல்லினம், தமிழுக்கு எண் ஒன்றை அழுத்தவும் போன்ற வெற்றி படங்களின் மூலம் ரசிகர்களை ஈர்த்தார். 

சிறந்த நடிகரான இவர் சீரான பாடகரும் கூட. அந்நியன், கஜினி, வேட்டையாடு விளையாடு, வல்லவன் உள்ளிட்ட படங்களில் பாடல்கள் பாடியுள்ளார். தொலைக்காட்சி நிகழ்ச்சிகளில் ஜட்ஜாகவும் இருந்து வருகிறார். 

தற்போது இன்ஸ்டாகிராம் பக்கத்தில் வீடியோ ஒன்றை வெளியிட்டுள்ளார். அதில், செல்லப்பிராணிகள் கொரோனாவை பரப்பாது. நிறைய பேர் தங்கள் செல்லப்பிராணிகளை தவிர்க்கிறார்கள். அவர்கள் எவ்வளவு மனுஷத்தன்மை இல்லாமல் இருக்கிறார்கள். வாட்ஸப்பில் வரும் ஃபார்வேர்டுகளை நம்பாதீர்கள். செல்லப்பிராணிகளுக்கு தண்ணீர் வையுங்கள் என்று வேண்டுகோள் விடுத்துள்ளார் நடிகர் நகுல்.
