Janani Iyer is going to do a role in Mohan lal's Koothara. Janani's portions in the film will be shot at Calicut by next month.Tamil actor Bharath is doing a role in this film. After 23 years actress Ranjini is acting in the film. The film also has Sunny Wayne and Vineeth Sreenivasan in supporting roles.

The first look posters of the film seems promising and the expectations are rising. One of the first look posters starring Mohanlal has been sent to the International Movie Poster competition recently.Koothara is being directed by Sreenath Rajendran.
