Trisha has signed her first web series, which has been titled Brinda. The show, which will stream on Sony LIV, will be helmed by debutant writer and director by Surya Vangala. The show will be made in Telugu and is likely to be dubbed into other languages. She took to her official Twitter handle and made a surprise announcement regarding the web series that the shooting has been wrapped and will be released soon. 

The series would soon be available on Sony Liv OTT platform and she also shared her picture amidst the shooting. Sharing the image, she also attached a caption to it that read, "And it’s a wrap💥 Thank you to each and every one who worked by,with and for #Brinda Season 1 on its way…..😇 ". Check it out:

Trisha can be seen standing before a police jeep as she will be seen taking on the role of a cop in the show. The update has left her fans ecstatic. The web series would be the first of many for Trisha as besides being her first web series in Telugu, it is also the first time that she will be featuring as a police officer. Brinda is written and directed by debutant Surya Vangala while it is produced by Avinash and Ashish Kolla. The web series will also be dubbed in Tamil and other languages.

While the release of season 1 of the web series is yet to be made official, it is confirmed that it will be getting released on Sony LIV. Shaktikanth Karthick composed the music for Brinda, and Dinesh K. Babu handled the camera for the series. In addition, Jay Krishna wrote the dialogue. Trisha last appeared in Mani Ratnam's magnum opus Ponniyin Selvan l as Kundavai. She captivated the audience in her role with her powerful acting skills and mesmerizing beauty. Ponniyin Selvan 2 has been slated for a theatrical release on 28 April 2023. 

The Ponniyin Selvan actress has a handful of other projects in her kitty as well which include the Tamil movie The Road and the Malayalam flick Ram in which she will be sharing the screen with the Complete Actor Mohanlal.  Garjanai, Sathuranga Vettai 2 and Raangi are three other films, which are in the post-production phase.
