Baba is a 2002 supernatural action film written and produced by Superstar Rajinikanth under his banner Lotus International, directed by Suresh Krissna, with cinematography by Chota K. Naidu. With Rajinikanth in the lead role, the songs and background score were composed by Isai Puyal A.R. Rahman. Baba was released nearly 2 decades ago on 15 August 2002. It has now been announced that the film will soon be re-released in theaters with a re-edit and Dolby mix soundtrack.

Baba is currently gearing up for new screenings again with a fresh twist. For this, the film has been re-edited from a completely new angle. Every frame is digitally enhanced with color grading as per modern technology. The film stars Manisha Koirala as the female lead with Goundamani, Delhi Ganesh, Sujatha, Rias Khan, MN Nambiar Ashish Vidyarthi, Sayaji Shinde, Sangavi, Karunas, and others in supporting roles. 

Also, the songs 'Maya Maya', 'Shakthi Kodu', 'Baba Kichchu', and all other songs from the flick will be released with a newly remixed Dolby Mix sound system. Even the special sounds for the film have been added more vividly. The release date of this film will be announced soon.

The film's story revolves around a carefree young non-believer of supreme power, Baba, who is a reincarnation of a great saint from the Himalayas. After several twists and problems caused by corrupt local politicians, Baba is taken to Mahavatar Babaji, whom Baba was a follower of in his last life. Baba gets tested by the deity to overcome several illusions of the materialistic world and is given seven chances of wishes. How he uses the wishes while developing spirituality and falling into loggerheads with the villains at the same time forms the rest of the story.
