Srikanth and Raai Laxmi have starred together in the upcoming Tamil movie, Mirugaa and this is their second association together after Sowkarpettai. Mirugaa is produced by B Vinod Jain under the banner of Jaguar Studios. The film is set inside forest areas and a tiger plays a very crucial role. Mirugaa is being promoted as India's first film with the highest screen time for a tiger and the entire film's plot is said to revolve around the animal. After facing several delays and hiccups in the release, Srikanth's Mirugaa will be out in theatres, this Friday, on March 5. Ahead of the film's release, the makers have released a new trailer and it has opened to a mixed reception from the audience.

Though the premise sounds quite fresh and interesting, the staging doesn't seem to interest you and the shots look highly artificial. The CG shots are tacky and lack professionalism and due to this, the intended impact is not felt. The cuts could have been more intriguing to make the audience thrilled, but the work turns out to be lesser effective. Let us hope that the film has solid content to engage the audience and become a success at the box office. The new trailer of Mirugaa was released by actor Dhanush who shares a good rapport with Srikanth. The film will have a dubbed release in Telugu and the Telugu version is called Garjana.

From what we see in the trailer, Srikanth seems to play the role of a psycho killer, but we can come to a conclusion only while watching the film. Raai Laxmi looks stunning and she seems to have got an action-packed role, this time. Apart from Srikanth and Raai Laxmi, Mirugaa's star cast also includes Dev Gill, Naira, Vaishnavi, Arohi, Black Pandi, and others. The film's story and screenplay are penned by MV Pannerselvam who has also handled the film's cinematography. Mirugaa is directed by debutant J Parthiban and it has music composed by Aruldev. On the technical side, the film has editing by R Sudharshan, art direction by Milan and S Raja Mohan.
