Santosh Sivan's master piece Urumi has already had a huge impact in the Indian film industry on the whole. Now this movie looks at the possibility of going international!

Santosh Sivan himself has confirmed this news. He said, Urumi's English version titled Vasco Da Gama is entirely different from the original Malayalam version and will see a different structure and story, which primarily focuses on portraying the brutal side of Portuguese invader Vasco Da Gama, who sailed to India. He also said that the movie Vasco Da Gama will retain only 30% of the scenes from Urumi and the remaining portions have been already filmed. However, the most wanted cinematographer of Indian cinema has no time to work on his movie. The English version will hit the international screens only in 2015.

After a lot of juggle of dates, Santosh Sivan seems to have finalised the time of release of Tamil version of Urumi. The Tamil version titled Uravaal is likely to hit the Kollywood screens in the month of May.
